Morocco 8-Day Tour Itinerary from Casablanca. In these 8 days and 7 nights, you will visit many fabulous places. Start your tour by exploring Casablanca city, then head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, and the blue city of Chefchaouen. Visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis as well as Meknes, the Ismaili capital, and Fes, the cultural city, and Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco.

Drive south to visit the Cedar Forest, Midelt, the amazing Ziz Valley, and the traditional market in Rissani. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, where you can ride camels and spend the night in a luxury camp in the middle of the desert. Enjoy magical sunsets and sunrises in the Sahara, then walk through the magnificent Todra Gorges and Dades Gorges. Visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Finally, wander through Marrakech with a local guide. The 8-day tour in Morocco ends in Casablanca.

ITINERARY : Discover Morocco in 8 Days: Tour Starting in Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Begin your tour with a pick-up from the airport, port, or your accommodation in Casablanca. The city is Morocco’s economic center and largest city. Start by visiting the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, located on the west coast overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy free time for lunch, then explore the city, including the stunning Corniche of Casablanca. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, drive along the coastline to Rabat, the current capital and an imperial city of Morocco. Visit highlights such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. After lunch, head north through Ouazzane to reach the Blue City of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, famous for its blue-painted buildings and alleys. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, explore the beautiful alleys of Chefchaouen. Then, drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning mosaics and ancient structures. Next, travel 30 km to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and an imperial city. Visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Continue to Fes for an overnight stay in a Riad.

Day 4: Guided Tour of Fes

Explore Fes with a local guide. Fes is one of Morocco’s imperial cities and a cultural and religious hub. Begin at the Royal Palace gate, then visit the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover Bab Boujloud, the entrance to the Medina, and explore the Bouanania Madrasa, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Tanneries. Visit the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the oldest in the world. Explore the Jewish quarter, or “the Mellah.” In the afternoon, enjoy panoramic views of Fes from an ancient fortress. Return to your Riad for the night.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, drive south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, known for its cool climate and alpine architecture, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” Visit the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques. Enjoy feeding them as you explore. Continue to Midelt for lunch, then travel through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views. Reach the Sahara Desert of Merzouga in the afternoon. Ride camels across the sandy desert, stopping atop a dune to enjoy the sunset. Arrive at a luxury desert camp where traditional nomadic tents meet modern comforts. Enjoy Berber drum music and dance under the stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 6: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early to witness the stunning desert sunrise. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga, where your driver awaits. Visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet, with its lively souk open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Continue to Erfoud to visit a fossilized marble workshop. Drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved a dramatic red cliff-sided canyon, perfect for rock climbers. After lunch in a local restaurant, continue to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, stopping to see the unique “monkey fingers” rock formations and enjoy views of the valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura Palm Groves – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue to Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley, known for its annual Rose Festival in May. Discover local rose products, including perfumes, rose water, and oils. Drive through the Skoura palm groves to Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” and visit famous film studios. Head to the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in many movies and TV shows. Drive through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, stopping for lunch and photo opportunities. Arrive in Marrakech for an overnight stay in a Riad.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca

On the final day, drive north to Casablanca Airport, stopping for panoramic views along the way. Transfer to the airport, marking the end of your 8-day Morocco tour.
