ITINERARY : One-Week Moroccan Adventure: 7-Day Tour Departing from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Begin your 7-day Morocco tour with an early pick-up from the airport, port, or your accommodation in Casablanca, the economic hub and largest city in Morocco. Start your journey by visiting the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, located on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy free time for lunch before exploring the city, including the scenic Corniche of Casablanca. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, travel along the coastline to Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the current capital. Situated in northwest Morocco, Rabat offers many historical attractions. Visit key sites such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas. After lunch, continue north through Ouazzane to reach the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Known for its buildings and alleyways painted in shades of blue, Chefchaouen is a photographer’s paradise. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, explore the charming alleyways of Chefchaouen at your leisure. Then, journey to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved mosaics, pillars, and archways. After wandering through the ruins, drive 30 km to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit highlights such as Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Continue to Fes for an overnight stay in a Riad.

Day 4: Guided Sightseeing Tour of Fes

Dedicate the day to exploring the highlights of Fes with a local guide. As one of Morocco’s imperial cities and a cultural and religious center, Fes offers a rich historical experience. Start with the Royal Palace gate, then explore the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, the entrance to the labyrinthine Medina. Inside, see the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous Tanneries. Visit the University of al-Qarawiyyin, the world’s oldest university. After leaving the Medina, explore the Jewish quarter, known as “the Mellah.” In the afternoon, drive to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of the Medina and the city. Return to your Riad for the night.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, drive south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue to the Cedar Forest, home to the playful Barbary macaques—interact with them as you explore the forest.

Proceed to Midelt for lunch before traveling through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the scenic Ziz Valley, making stops for panoramic views. In the afternoon, arrive in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. Embark on a camel trek across the sandy dunes, pausing atop a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Continue to a luxury desert camp, where traditional nomadic tents meet modern comforts.
