ITINERARY : 3 DAYS FROM MARRAKECH TO FES VIA DESERT

day 1 :  Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait ben Haddou Kasbah- Roses Vally-Dades Valley

The 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour begins with an early pick-up from your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech. From there, we journey through the captivating High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, making stops to take in the stunning panoramic views. Next, we visit the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been featured in numerous films such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as the TV series Game of Thrones. We then proceed to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gate of the Desert,” where you’ll have free time for lunch. Continuing on, we visit the Rose Valley and pass through the expansive palm grove of Skoura before arriving at Boumalne Dades, where we will spend the night.

day 2 : Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Dunes -Camel trekking – overnight in a luxury camp

After breakfast, we drive through the Dades Valley, stopping at a viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular landscape of the Dades Gorges. We then continue to Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved out a magnificent canyon with high red cliffs. Take some time to wander through the gorges and appreciate their natural beauty. Following this, we drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with free time for lunch along the way. In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Here, you’ll switch to camels and cross the sandy desert, stopping to enjoy the magical sunset atop a high dune. We then proceed to a luxury desert camp, where you can enjoy Berber drum music and dance around the campfire under a vast, star-filled sky. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

day 3 : Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – Cedars Forest – Ifrane – Fes

On the final day of your 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour, wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise in the middle of the desert. After some free time for breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting. We then depart the desert to visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a major trading center in the region, with a bustling souk especially lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring the Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud to visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble.

Next, we drive along the Ziz River, stopping to take in a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Enjoy free time for lunch in Midelt before heading to the cedars forest, home to Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them as you wander through the forest.
